Vitamin C Has Many Benefits
While the jury is still out on the effects of vitamin C on the common cold, recent research shows other benefits to daily supplementation of this versatile vitamin.
Study Finds Vitamin C May Reduce High Blood Pressure
According to researches a diet containing a moderate dose of vitamin C a day may significantly reduce high blood pressure in moderately hypertensive patients. A key risk factor in heart attacks and strokes, hypertension is one of the biggest health care problems facing the world, according to Balz Frie, researcher and director at the Linus Pauling Institute. The benefits of using vitamin C are an inexpensive safe way to reduce blood pressure levels without the side effects of prescription medications.
The study was conducted on a double-blind, placebo controlled method using patients with various characteristics. They all had blood pressure defined as diastolic pressure above 90 and a systolic pressure of more than 140 mm Hg. The patients discontinued all prescriptions during the course of the study. The study found reductions similar to many prescription drugs on the low dose of vitamin C taken daily. However, the reduction in blood pressure did not occur in patients with normal blood pressure.
The researchers were unsure about how the vitamin C was affecting the blood pressure but theorize that it had to do with the fact that vitamin C is an antioxidant. According to Frie, the antioxidant would work to help protect the body’s levels of nitric oxide. An important component of normal blood level functions.
Nitric Oxide is a naturally occurring compound in the body that relaxes blood vessels and helps retain a healthy blood pressure. Under oxidative stress (free radical damage) the compound may become inactive or inhibited. A slightly high dose of vitamin C may help the nitric oxide to perform more naturally.
NT Factor has been scientifically proven to repair the damage caused by oxidative stress. It repairs and replaces the damaged cell membranes with new healthy ones by replacing the damaged lipids. This Lipid Replacement Therapy (LRT) is unique to NT Factor.
LRT has been studied in numerous trial and clinical studies. According to Garth Nicholson, a leading researcher, “Recent evidence indicates that reduced mitochondrial (Cell) function caused by ROS/RNS membrane oxidation is related to fatigue, a common complaint…. Lipid Replacement Therapy administered as a nutritional supplement with antioxidants can prevent excess oxidative membrane damage, restore mitochondrial and other cellular membrane functions and reduce fatigue. Recent clinical trials have shown the benefit of Lipid Replacement Therapy plus antioxidants in restoring mitochondrial electron transport function and reducing moderate to severe chronic fatigue by protecting mitochondrial and other cellular membranes from oxidative damage.”
What this means is that LRT plus vitamin C will do away with the damage caused by free radicals while restoring energy levels.
Vitamin C was the first known antioxidant on the market. Its antioxidant properties have long been researched and proven.
NTI’s Complex C Factor, combines the LRT science of NT Factor with vitamin C, giving you all the benefit you can have. NT Factor not only gives you LRT, but it also provides for better absorption of vitamin C. Moderately dosed, it will repair and replace the damage caused by free radicals, Oxidative Stress. This will allow your cells to function at their peak efficiency levels.
